That statement is dangerously close to being clichéd, weird, or lame. Or most likely, all of the above. But bear with me for a second. On Saturday afternoon, I wandered outside nursing a slight hangover Mary-Kate-Olsen-style with huge Dior sunglasses and a venti Starbucks cup. Although we all love to hate the Olsens for it, I think they're onto something with this day-after-a-night-of-drinking look. The sunglasses made me look way too bug-like and scary for anyone to attempt to speak to me and the Starbucks coffee made me feel slightly less stunned by life. Perfect formula! Anyway, I ended up in the Bergdorf Goodman shoe department (dangerous place to be when you're not exactly thinking clearly yet) browsing through the myriad options for spring. And suddenly, I saw them: a pair of gorgeous, perfect, gold stacked peep-toe pumps by Christian Louboutin. They had me at hello. Or, you know, they would have if they could talk. Whatever. My point is that they were amazing; as perfect as shoes come. Except for the little sticker on one of the soles that read $760. So! Perfection apparently comes at a price, eh? And then there were these cute KORS by Michael Kors camel leather espadrilles for a mere $215 (well, "mere" compared to the whopper of a price tag on the Louboutins).
